Consumerism in the home.

I approached this as a speculative design — a way to exaggerate and question the role of advertising in our lives. The idea of a chair that displays ads felt intentionally dystopian and absurd. But to my surprise, the most common reactions were enthusiastic: suggestions to pitch it to as brand experience design and install it in airport lounges. It made me reflect on how easily satire can blur into reality — especially when the business model makes sense.

You already saw it!

Even seeing a logo or ad for a second can influence what you like, what you buy, or how you see the world. These quick impressions build up quietly, cluttering your subconscious. Over time, they start to shape your choices without you even noticing.

Over 8,000 LED’s

Individually addressable and programmed to screenshare from my laptop. A visual studio python script screen records the laptop, pixelizes the image, sends it in UDP packets over wifi to an esp32 which drives the LED’s.

I wrote a book!

Check out the short book I wrote alongside designing this project. There are many essays I have written covering the topic and I also show the entire build process.
