  • Go The Distance

    Skateboarders have to commute to practice their sport. Skateparks are often far and require travel. “Pushing” in skateboarding is tiring, it requires the user to repeatedly do one- legged squats while balancing and combating high friction with the road. 


  • Electric Skateboarding

    Electric longboards are the wrong shape and weight for skateboarders. Skateboarding requires a specific board shape to perform tricks. Although the two sports seem similar, electric longboards are not a solution for skateboarders. 



  • Removable Motor

    Bring the benefits of electric commute to skateboarders, without impeding their ability to do tricks. Attach a motor and drive wheel to the bottom of the skateboard. This will allow skateboarders to commute to skateparks efficiently so they can focus on practicing the sport. 


A New Era for Skateboarding

The goal of the project is to provide electric mobility to skateboards without impeding the ability to do tricks. Instead of trying to design a light-weight product, I focused on being able to attach and detach E-Skate quickly. The product is used to commute to the skatepark and then removed upon arrival to allow for normal skateboarding.
